Robert Steinbauer joined the Goodman School of Business in 2014. He received his PhD in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management from the University of Memphis, and his MAcc and MBA from Arkansas State University.

In 2017, he won the Best Paper Award at the Annual Meeting of the Academy of International Business for The essential role of international business education in the fight against political corruption. In 2016, he won the Best Paper in the Organizational Psychology track at the Annual Meeting of the British Academy of Management for Workplace ostracism, self-regulation, and job performance: Moderating role of intrinsic work motivation. In 2014, he won 1st place for the Dissertation Proposal Competition for Excellence in Ethics.

Prior to his career in academics, Steinbauer worked as a consultant in enterprise risk services at Deloitte in Memphis.
