Ernest N. Biktimirov began teaching at the Goodman School of Business in 1999. He holds a PhD in Finance and MBA from the University of Kentucky, and also has his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He has taught courses in corporate finance, international finance, and research methodology in finance.

Prior to his academic career, Biktimirov worked as a research engineer at the Institute of Cybernetics of Uzbek Academy of Sciences, as well as assistant computer systems manager at the University of Kentucky.

At Goodman, Biktimirov served as the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Programs from 2013 to 2017. He has also been a faculty advisor for the Brock Finance and Investment Group (BFIG) and the CFA Institute Research Challenge Competition.

Biktimirov’s papers have won the best paper award at several conferences, including the Financial Management Association, the Eastern Finance Association, the Administrate Sciences Association of Canada, and the Academy of Finance. He has also been the recipient of numerous teaching awards. He is often quoted in Canadian media, such as The Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Canadian Business, and The Business News Network.
