Sohyung Kim received his PhD from the University of British Columbia, MS in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and BBA from Seoul National University, Korea.

Kim began teaching at Goodman School of Business in 2010. He currently teaches financial accounting for undergraduate as well as graduate students. He was the recipient of the 2013/2014 Professor of the Year Award, Graduate level, selected by Brock University Business Students' Association.

Before moving to North America, he was an instructor at Korea Accounting and Information School in Seoul, Korea.
