Dr. Lei’s research interests include corporate liquidity management, credit contagion risk, bank lending, corporate financial disclosure, supply chain, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, labour dynamics, and the impact of managerial overconfidence and biases.
Dr. Lei’s work has appeared in leading finance journals such as Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Corporate Finance, and Journal of Behavioral Finance. His research has been sponsored by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
Dr. Lei has served as a referee for several finance journals, including Journal of Corporate Finance, European Financial Management, Financial Review, International Review of Financial Analysis, Journal of Behavioral Finance, British Journal of Management, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, North American Journal of Economics and Finance, and China Finance Review International.
