Navjote Khara joined the Goodman School of Business in 2023. She holds a PhD in Marketing from Punjab Technical University, an MBA in Marketing, and a BSc in Chemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University from India. She specializes in teaching core areas such as business strategy, marketing strategy, international marketing, marketing research, services marketing, and business communication to the graduate and undergraduate programs. She brings international experience as an adjunct faculty at Holzschuh College of Business Administration, at Niagara University (USA), a visiting faculty at Universidad del Pacífico (Perú), and previously working as a National Expert with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

Prior to joining Brock University, Khara was a professor and program coordinator at Niagara College, Ontario and an assistant professor at Apeejay Institute of Management, India. She was a visiting researcher at Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility, Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) focusing in research on global value chains and sustainability in the wind industry.

She has been honoured with the Certificate of Recognition from the House of Commons, Canada for her teaching and is a three-time winner of the Best Instructor award in X-Culture (2023, 2021, 2018). In 2024, she was awarded for the Best Case (Silver Award) by the North America Case Research Association.

Khara is a faculty advisor for Accreditation and Rankings Advisory Committee at Goodman School and has been involved in the Goodman School community as the academic coach for MBA Games and the co-coach for the World Trade Center International Business Case Competition.
