Dr. Mahsa Mohammadi is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the Goodman School of Business and a Core Faculty Member on the Faculty Leadership Committee within the UBC Blockchain Cluster. Prior to joining Goodman School of Business, she held a full-time faculty position at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where she taught both graduate and undergraduate courses. Her teaching portfolio also includes online courses, such as Global Sourcing at the Shannon School of Business, Cape Breton University.

At the Goodman School of Business, Dr. Mohammadi teaches Operations Management and has extensive teaching experience at UBC, including Supply Chain Tactics and Strategy, Facility Planning, Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Optimization, Engineering Analysis, and Numerical Methods for Analysis. In recognition of her excellence in teaching and strong student engagement, she received the “Thank a Prof” Award from UBC in Summer 2025.

With a strong engineering–management background, Dr. Mohammadi contributes to strategic planning and interdisciplinary research initiatives that integrate advanced optimization with emerging technologies, including data-driven and blockchain-enabled systems. Her research focuses on operations research and management, logistics and supply chain analytics, decision support system design, healthcare resource management, and disaster management. Driven by a passion for advancing operations research, she continually explores new methodological and applied directions within these fields. Her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Transportation Research Part A, Computers & Operations Research, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and Computers, Environment and Urban Systems. She has received the Best Paper Award at the Administrative Science Association of Canada (ASAC) Conference, highlighting the quality and impact of her research. Additionally, she successfully secured a competitive grant from the UBC Blockchain Pathway Program (Vancouver Campus), underscoring her contributions to blockchain-enabled research.
