Dave Bouckenooghe began teaching at Goodman School of Business in 2009. He earned his PhD, MSc, and BSc from Ghent University. He teaches courses in the areas of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources, including HR analytics, Human Resource Planning, Organizational Behaviour & Design, and Leading Change.

Bouckenooghe has experience in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels in different institutions including NEOMA Business School in France and Vlerick Management School in Belgium.

In 2012, Bouckenooghe received the BUSU Award for Teaching Excellence and was nominated for the Graduate Mentorship Award (Brock University) in 2013. Bouckenooghe also received multiple rewards for his research from the OB division from Southern Management Association (2018 - Best Conference Paper Award), International Conference on Innovation and Management (2015 - Best Conference Paper Award), ODC division of the Academy of Management (2008 - Student Best Paper Award), the OB division from ASAC (2010 - Best paper) and the Paul Hersey Best Paper Award from Journal of Management and Entrepreneurship (2006). Also, he received the Goodman Distinguished Scholar of the Year Award 2019. Finally, in 2023 he has been listed on Stanford’s University list of world’s top 2% of scientists with most citations.

He is currently an Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Behavioral Science (NTL institute), and member of the editorial review board of Journal of Organizational Behavior.
