H.F. (Herb) MacKenzie has been teaching at Goodman School of Business since 2003. He holds a PhD from Richard Ivey School of Business, an MBA from Saint Mary’s University, and a BA from St Francis Xavier University. At Goodman, he teaches management and marketing courses to the undergraduate and graduate programs.

Outside of his career in academia, MacKenzie has been consulting to both private- and public-sector businesses since 1985. He has also taught in the undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs at many other universities across Canada, Europe, and the Middle East.

At Goodman, MacKenzie has been a member of the MBA Committee, and the AACSB Assurance of Learning Committee. He has also served on a number of university committees, including the Sabbatical and Leaves Committee, the Student Appeals Committee, and the Undergraduate Student Affairs Committee.

MacKenzie has coached Goodman students in many case competitions, such as the University of Vermont Family Enterprise Case Competition, Queen’s University ICBC, John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition, and the University of Florida Heavener International Case Competition. He is frequently cited in newspapers and trade magazines.
